I paid $185 for diagnostics and was told that I would need to spend another $400 to minimally resolve the problem with around $3000 more to repair everything that was deemed wrong. I took the vehicle to a trusted, certified garage in the are and had the car repaired for $265 total, including the same diagnostics.

It was quick and easy. When I made the appointment, the person I spoke to scheduled it for two days because they weren't sure how long it would take and wanted to allow plenty of time for diagnostics and repairs, if necessary. The appointment only took about an hour in reality. My error message was something that the service department was unfamiliar with (same for me) but I think new technology brings new issues so that makes sense. Issue was either easily resolved or it worked itself out.

I noticed that they recorded they took my car for a test drive I came in at 30499 miles when I got it back it said 30500 miles but on the paperwork it said 30502 so did they really test drive it? Also I had a scuff under the headlight that was replaced, it was buffed out my by rep!

Everyone we contacted to make an appointment were courteous and helpful. The service advisor took time to explain what the service consisted of, and told us up front this was a free service a part of the VW warranty!
